Students rolled the
can individually and saw how the candle moved back towards them after going
forward some distance. Students learnt that energy can neither be created nor
destroyed. It can only be converted from form to the other. In the case of the
rollback can, kinetic energy is transformed into an easily observable example
of elastic potential energy, which is then transformed back into kinetic
energy.
Teacher discussed with
students about some more examples where energy is converted from one form to
the other. Students also showed the demonstration of the same.
