An experiment was conducted to explain the concept that hot
air rises up by using 2 bottles with 2 balloons on top of it. The students
observed that the balloon on the bottle kept in hot water bath inflates whereas
the balloon on the bottle kept in cold water does not inflate. The students
related this concept of rising of warm/hot air with the phenomenon of land
breeze and sea breeze occur.
